New York is now locked into a playoff spot and set to make the postseason for the first time since 2016 with a first-year head coach.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Looking ahead to Week 18, however, New York may choose to rest their starters ahead of the postseason, as they are locked into the No. 6 seed. In a &#8220;meaningless&#8221; game, it doesn&#8217;t make sense to risk injury to one of your star players, and thus, we could see Daboll choose to give his team some rest.<\/p>\n<p>Given the massive spread, it seems likely that this is going to be the path Daboll chooses for his football team against Philadelphia in Week 18.<\/p>\n<p>As for the Eagles, they&#8217;ve now lost two straight games but still sit with an impressive 13-3 record on the season. The offense has struggled without Jalen Hurts at quarterback, and they&#8217;re desperately looking forward to having their star QB back as they work to lock up the No. 1 seed in the NFC and a first-round bye.<\/p>\n<p>All expectations at the time of writing are for Hurts to make it back for this matchup against the Giants. If the Eagles do lock up the No. 1 seed and Hurts doesn&#8217;t play in this game, he won&#8217;t have played football for over a month.
